Esta edição da Bíblia Sagrada oferece o texto bíblico em duas línguas: inglês e português. Na publicação, as traduções Nova Almeida Atualizada (NAA) e English Standard Version (ESV), foram dispostas em duas colunas, permitindo que o leitor compare lado a lado o texto bíblico nas duas línguas. A English Standard Version (ESV) é uma das mais consagradas traduções da língua inglesa, tendo como base a tradicional King James Version (KJV). De maneira muito similar ao que foi feito com a Almeida Revista e Atualizada (ARA) e que resultou na Nova Almeida Atualizada (NAA), o texto da KJV foi trabalhado meticulosamente, à luz das línguas originais, por especialistas. O resultado é uma tradução bíblica literal, que ainda conserva o padrão clássico da KJV, mas com um vocabulário mais acessível ao leitor de hoje. A ESV é uma das traduções bíblicas mais populares nos Estados Unidos e em todo o mundo de fala inglesa.
This edition of the Holy Bible offers the biblical text in two languages: English and Portuguese. In the publication, the Nova Almeida Atualizada (NAA) and English Standard Version (ESV) translations were arranged in two columns, allowing the reader to compare the biblical text in both languages side by side. The English Standard Version (ESV) is one of the most renowned translations of the English language, based on the traditional King James Version (KJV). In a very similar way to what was done with the Almeida Revista e Atualizada (ARA) and which resulted in the New Almeida Atualizada (NAA), the text of the KJV was meticulously worked on, in light of the original languages, by specialists. The result is a literal biblical translation, which still maintains the classic standard of the KJV, but with a vocabulary that is more accessible to today's reader. The ESV is one of the most popular Bible translations in the United States and throughout the English-speaking world.
